Hello dear reader. It is June already (doesn’t time fly) and we have a new Product of the Month to present to you.
In this month of June, we would like to focus on Allium. Allium is a species of union and is related to chives and garlic. However, I would not recommend you to consume Allium flowers, because they are just too pretty to look at.
This heavily scented flower comes in many shapes and varieties, about 750 in total (more on that next week) and blooms in nature from late spring to mid summer. Most Allium grow on the Northern Hemisphere, around Asia, but on some places south of the equator it will bloom as well. Next week we will tell you more about the various kinds of Alliums.
See you then!
